Chubanga Foil V3
The CHUBANGA V3 was envisioned by 4engeneering and Luca Filippi in close collaboration with top riders, tailoring the foil to the athlete’s needs.
The process focused on the hydrodynamics and drag analysis, it’s outcome was a stiffer mast combined with a new connection between mast and fuselage. The result has been nicknamed by our testers as ‘the war machine’ for its incredible performance and stability. The more pressure is applied on the foil, the faster it goes while it’s stability gives you the confidence to use it at any level. It is the foil that most athletes today are proudly using for their Olympic Campaigns as well as many other international events.
In this foil we found the perfect balance between stability, aggressive speed and angle. It’s fast and addictive. We also improved the stiffness with an innovative construction method and a brand new mast/fuselage connection.
All of our materials are carefully chosen and selected amongst Italian manufacturers of the sector. The foils are meticulously finished by Luca’s hands, delivered to you and ready to go for a foiling session.
Ready to Win Races
We bring the foils to the champions with passion and expertise. All our foils are race ready, precisely build and sanded by hand.
The Chubanga V3 is by far our most awarded foil, with back-to-back podiums throughout all the past years.
To conclude the 2024 Olympic cycle, the Chubanga V3 has won the first two Olympic medals in both categories with Valentin Bontus and Ellie Aldridge.
FOIL DESCRIPTION
IKA REGISTERED
The Chubanga V3 is registered by the IKA and World Sailing to compete at Formula Kite events leading to Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. It is a proper racing machine, chosen by the best in the world to compete at the highest levels. Every foil is shaped by hand and precisely checked to meet World Sailing registration’s standards.
Our most awarded foil so far is ready to take on your biggest challenges!
IMPROVED IN EVERY ASPECT
The V3 is a foil that was built to accelerate, push further on the upwind, and deeper on the downwind. In our development process we’ve studied a wing and mast profile that would be accessible and easy to handle as much as fast and performing.
Through fluid dynamics testing we were able to reduce the possibility of ventilation while riding which allows riders to have a better control of the foil and therefore a better overall performance.
