Chubanga Foil V5 / V4 Olympic
The Chubanga Foil V5 / V4 Olympic is a foil that was built to accelerate, push further on the upwind, and deeper on the downwind. In our development process we’ve studied a wing and mast profile that would be accessible and easy to handle as much as fast and performing.
NEW MAST
After extensive testing with the V4 mast (no longer available), the new V5 mast establishes a definitive standard. The new finish helps eliminate ventilation issues, making the foil even smoother. We have increased the mast length from 106cm to 109cm without losing rigidity, thanks to thorough research and the use of advanced materials.
NEW CONNECTION MAST-GLIDER
The new connection between the glider and mast has made the foil even more stable during navigation and has improved the precision of the connections, resulting in reduced drag and giving more performance. Additionally, thanks to the new baseplate, adjusting the rear wing angle has never been easier. Simply add a spacer to the rear screw (included with the foil) to modify the angle of incidence.
TWO OPTIONS GLIDER
We have decided to register two versions of the glider. The only difference is the rear fin on the stabilizer, which adds stability but makes maneuvers more mechanical and less smooth. After extensive research, we have decided to give athletes the option to choose.
IKA REGISTERED
The Chubanga Foil V5 / V4 Olympic is registered by the IKA and World Sailing to compete at Formula Kite events leading to LA 2028 Olympic Games. It is a proper racing machine, chosen by the best in the world to compete at the highest levels. Every foil is shaped by hand and precisely checked to meet World Sailing registration’s standards.
